It also shows the hospital's healthcare performance. This study examines how nursing quality affects word-of-mouth communication among RS X Bandar Lampung hospitalized patients in 2023. A true Experimental Design with a posttest-only control group was adopted. The sample included 80 people, divided equally into 40 intervention and 40 control groups. The control and intervention groups showed significant differences in service quality, including empathy, tangibility, assurance, reliability, and responsiveness (p-value = 0.000 < 0.05). Significant differences in word-of-mouth communication were seen between the control and intervention groups (p-value = 0.000 < 0.05). The simple linear regression test significantly impacted empathic nursing service quality (p-value < 0.05). The quality of tangible nursing services was also affected (p-value < 0.05). The quality of nurse service assurance also had an impact (p-value < 0.05). Nurse attentiveness impacted word-of-mouth communication in control and intervention group patients (p < 0.000 < 0.05). Nursed service reliability impacted word-of-mouth communication in treatment and control groups (p-value = 0.004 < 0.085). The management of X Hospital Bandar Lampung must constantly teach nurses about nursing service quality. They should also assess training success by measuring nurse service quality with patient surveys and questionnaires.
Ni Putu Tira Septiyanigiri, Asnet Leo Bunga, Sutanto Priyo Hastono Copyright (c) 2024 Al Makki Health Informatics Journal https://healthinformaticsjournal.al-makkipublisher.com/index.php/hij/article/view/20 Sun, 31 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0000 THE INFLUENCE OF EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION AND PATIENT SAFETY CULTURE ON PHYSICIAN BEHAVIOR IN FILLING OUT MEDICAL RECORDS WITH WORK ENGAGEMENT AS AN INTERVENING VARIABLE IN A TYPE B PRIVATE HOSPITAL IN WEST JAKARTA https://healthinformaticsjournal.al-makkipublisher.com/index.php/hij/article/view/18
This research is based on doctors' disciplinary problems in filling in complete patient medical record data, which has caused several patient safety incidents to occur. The aim of this research is to empirically reveal the influence of effective communication and patient safety culture on doctor behavior with work engagement as an intervening variable. This research is included in quantitative research with a causality approach, the population used is doctors, the sampling technique uses purposive sampling with determining the number of samples using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5%, so that a sample size of 97 respondents is obtained, with a sampling technique using non-probability sampling . The analysis method uses the three box method and PLS-SEM with the help of the samrt-PLS program. The results of the analysis conclude that work engagement positively intervenes in the influence of effective communication and patient safety culture on doctor behavior, effective communication and patient safety culture have a positive and significant effect on work engagement and doctor behavior, and work engagement is able to influence doctor behavior positively and significant, and also dominates its influence compared to effective communication and patient safety culture.
Evi Andani, Hosizah, Rina Mutiara Copyright (c) 2024 Al Makki Health Informatics Journal https://healthinformaticsjournal.al-makkipublisher.com/index.php/hij/article/view/18 Wed, 03 Apr 2024 00:00:00 +0000 COMMUNITY SERVICE TO INCREASE PATIENT AWARENESS IN OSTEOARTHRITIS DISEASE PREVENTION AT IBNU SINA HOSPITAL, PANAKUKANG DISTRICT MAKASSAR https://healthinformaticsjournal.al-makkipublisher.com/index.php/hij/article/view/19
This study aimed to investigate the relationship between Presbycusis, Elderly, Osteoarthritis Audiometry, and risk factors such as obesity, lack of physical activity, and injury to the joints. The research method used was a survey using questionnaires distributed to the elderly at Ibnu Sina Hospital, Panakkang District, Makassar. The results showed a significant correlation between the conditions of presbycusis, osteoarthritis, and the mentioned risk factors. The implication of this research is the importance of increasing public awareness and knowledge of osteoarthritis prevention and management through targeted and interactive education, such as using banners that are easy to understand and involve direct discussions with the community. This is expected to reduce the incidence of osteoarthritis and reduce the burden of medical costs and improve the quality of life of the elderly.
Andi Dhedie Prasatia Sam, Fadil Mula Putra Copyright (c) 2024 Al Makki Health Informatics Journal https://healthinformaticsjournal.al-makkipublisher.com/index.php/hij/article/view/19 Sun, 31 Mar 2024 00:00:00 +0000
